What is SKILLS4JOB?
Objectives
With the SKILLS4JOB programme, we aim to 4 general objectives:
- contribute to reducing the gap in terms of job and training opportunities between urban centres and peripheral areas (in particular rural peripheries and islands);
- develop and implement, in collaboration with local actors, inclusive vocational training and social entrepreneurship courses that complement standard vocational training for people living in situations of social, economic and educational disadvantage;
- create, through social entrepreneurship training, the conditions to increase job opportunities by supporting the creation of an ecosystem of small local businesses;
- create a structured network for knowledge transfer and exchange of experiences among the actors involved in the project.
Beneficiaries
The SKILLS4JOB programme is primarily aimed at:
- young people with a low or incomplete level of education and adults who have practical experience but do not possess a recognised qualification
- people who run economic activities that are barely subsistence-level and who need skills to better structure them and transform them into a source of income, in particular by adopting collaborative and co-ownership models of entrepreneurship aimed at ensuring greater social and environmental sustainability;
- local authorities, CSOs, communities, teachers and other stakeholders interested in the project topic.
