REGIONAL STRATEGIES FOR THE SOCIAL ECONOMY. A report by the OECD.

Social economy organizations are traditionally referred to all associations, cooperatives, mutuals and foundations whose activity is guided by values of solidarity, the primacy of people over capital and democratic and participatory governance.
The OECD has contributed significantly to the conceptual knowledge and practical understanding of the social economy since its pioneering work on the plural economy in the 1990s. It continues to broaden its knowledge base while raising awareness of the contribution of social economy organizations to inclusive and sustainable growth at the local, regional and national levels in member countries and beyond.
An example is the OECD report “Regional Strategies for the Social Economy Examples from France, Spain, Sweden and Poland” published in 2020, which explores the links between regional social economy and regional development strategies in the four EU countries.
