7. INCLUSIVE TRAINING FOR UNEMPLOYED WOMEN AND YOUNG PEOPLE IN JAMBIANI – Zanzibar (Tanzania).

Start up: novembre 2021 Area: Inclusive Training

Goals. Implement inclusive vocational training pathways that allow unemployed women and youth living in economic and educational poverty the opportunity to break out of a vulnerable situation and enter the local labor market or create small collaborative businesses.

Partnership. SEND (coordinator and who will implement their own inclusive training program #SKILLS4JOB), WHY a World Home for Youth odv with its branch in Zanzibar that will provide the premises of their vocational school in Jambiani that will host the training activities.

Resources. The realization of the project will only be possible thanks to the donations collected.

6. PILOT TRAINING ACTION 2 ON INNOVATION AND SOCIAL CHANGE (CROATIA)

Duration. 25/10/2021 – 5/11/2021 Area:Entrepreneurial coaching

Goals. Responding to civil society’s demand for appropriate expertise to develop social economy projects in Croatia.

Partnership. National Foundation for Civil Society – Croatia (Sponsoring Entity), European Foundation for Philanthropy and Society Development – Croatia (Funding Philanthropic Entity), SEND Social Entrepreneurship Development – Italy (Partner), Leeds University Business School – Great Britain/Croatia (Partner), Relativ Group – South Africa (Partner), Crane House – Great Britain (Partner) Global Fund of Community Foundations – South Africa (Partner).

Beneficiaries. The training concerns a group of 16referents of associations, social cooperatives, foundations and local authorities engaged in social economy projects in Croatia.

Role of SEND. Management of a pilot training session dedicated to the theme “Social entrepreneurship: a cross-cutting skill that transforms opportunities and ideas into community value.

Goals. Responding to civil society’s demand for adequate skills to develop social economy projects in communities living in disadvantaged areas of the country.

Role of SEND. Collaborates in defining the Academy’s training proposal: needs analysis, output competency profiles, structure and content of training modules and courses, identification of tools for assessment and validation of learning outcomes.

4. SCALING UP PUBLIC HEALTH LABORATORY (TANZANIA)

Duration. 24 months Start up: november 2020 Area:Entrepreneurial coaching

Goals. Model the activities of the public health laboratory specializing in parasitic and infectious diseases set up in 2000 by the Ivo de Carneri Foundation in Pemba Island with a view to its possible replicability in other areas.

Partnership. Fondazione Ivo de Carneri – Italy (promoter), SEND Social Entrepreneurship Development – Italy (partner), Ministry of Health – Zanzibar (local contact person), PHL IdC – Pemba, Zanzibar (partner).

Resources. The project is made possible by the free volunteer work of the contact persons made available by the partners.

Role of SEND. Collaborates on modeling of lab activities, preparation of a multimedia presentation design, and finding partners for scaling up.

Goals. Implementing the skills of a group of social entrepreneurs active in the Escazú community.

Partnership. Municipality of Escazú – Costa Rica (Promoting Entity), Escuela de Economia Social of Seville – Spain (Coordinator), SEND Social Entrepreneurship Development – Italy (Partner).

Beneficiaries. The project aims to implement the entrepreneurship skills of the contact persons of 4 social enterprises in the Escazú community active in sustainable tourism, agriculture and environmental protection.

Resources. The project is made possible thanks to resources provided by the Escazú Community.

Role of SEND. Collaborate to define and manage an online in-depth module on the importance of territorial organizational supply chains among social enterprises.

1. ORGANIZATIONAL CHAINS AMONG CAMELID BREEDERS (PERU AND BOLIVIA).

Goals. Implement the organizational skills of camelid breeders in Peru and Bolivia.

AICS – Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (Funding Entity), ISCOS Emilia Romagna – Italy (Coordinator), Centro Bartolomé de los Casas – Peru (Partner), SEND Social Entrepreneurship Development – Italy (Partner), Escuela de Economia Social de Andalucìa – Spain (Partner)), Progetto Mondo MLAL – Italy/Peru (Partner).

Beneficiaries. The multi-year “Weaving Solidarity” project aims to implement the social entrepreneurship skills of camelid breeders in Peruvian and Bolivian communities for the implementation of organizational and improved supply chains for fiber breeding and marketing.
